What is Google Wallet and Google Pay?
Google Wallet is a digital wallet that allows you to securely store your eligible Citi branded cards on a compatible smartwatch or AndroidTM device. Google Wallet gives you fast, secure access to your eligible Citi branded cards so you can tap to pay everywhere Google Pay is accepted.
Google Pay is an easy and secure way to pay using your AndroidTM phone or compatible smartwatch. Once you've completed the setup process, you'll be able to use Google Pay where contactless payments are available, or where the Google Pay logo appears online.

Which Cards are eligible to enrol for Google Pay?
Currently Google Pay is enabled on all Citi branded credit cards and debit cards except for Linked Diners Club Card, Classic Plus Card and Emirates Citi World Mastercard.
Note that we will no longer offer the Emirates Citi World Mastercard from 31 May 2023. As a result, from this date onwards, it will not be eligible for mobile wallets.

How do I set up Google Pay and enrol my Card?
Enrolling is simple, just follow these steps:

- You may be prompted to set up an Android device or smartwatch screen lock if you have not already (e.g. device code, pattern, password or fingerprint).
- Tap ‘Add to Wallet’ and follow the instructions.
- Take a picture of your card or enter the card details.
- You may be prompted to verify your identity as the authorised cardholder to complete your enrolment. Follow the options presented. Then you’re all set.
- Look for the following symbols at checkout. When you’re ready to pay, unlock your phone if required, hold it near the reader, and look for the check mark. That’s it!
Troubleshooting:
- Confirm you are connected to the internet.
- Check your device eligibility.
- Check your card eligibility.
- Check the current status of your credit card before enrolling – e.g. if there is a block on your card because of late payment or you’ve reported it lost or stolen. In these cases the card cannot be enrolled.
- Ensure you have set up a screen lock before downloading Google Pay. There is some helpful information on Set screen lock on an Android device - Android Help (google.com). However, you need to follow your device manufacturer’s instructions or call the device manufacturer’s help centre for further assistance.
- Please note your card is not ready for use in Google Pay until you verify your identity and card.
- If you have another digital wallet selected as the default contactless payment method on your Android device or smartwatch, you may need to select Google Pay as your default method of contactless payment on your Android device or smartwatch. Use your Android device or smartwatch's settings to select your default contactless payment method.
- The maximum number of devices a card can be provisioned in may be limited from time to time.
