  • What is Pay with Points?

    Pay with Points is a feature of the Citi Rewards Program that helps reduce your Citi credit card balance by redeeming your Citi reward Points for statement credits on eligible purchases.

  • How does Pay with Points work?

    Log in to the Citi Mobile® App and go to your credit card dashboard. Go to 'See all transactions', tap your eligible purchase* then tap 'Pay with Points.' You will receive a credit back within 2 business days.

    Alternatively once signed on to Citibank Online, select the Rewards tab from the menu and you will see the Pay with Points option. All eligible purchases will display and you can select the purchases that you would like to cover with a statement credit by redeeming your reward Points.

  • What purchases are eligible for Pay with Points?

    Pay with Points is available on eligible purchases. An eligible purchase means an Eligible Transaction (excluding Citi PayAll Payments) that you Pay with Points within 60 days of the Transaction Date. An Eligible Transaction means any purchase excluding (but not limited to) Cash Advances, Balance Transfers, Special Promotions, BPAY payments, purchases of foreign currency and travellers cheques, transactions made in operating a business, payments to other Citi accounts, bank fees and charges such as interest and ATM charges, transactions made using Points and government related transactions. Government related transactions include transactions with government or semi-government entities, or relating to services provided by or in connection with government (for example but not limited to transactions made at Australia Post, payments to the Australian Taxation Office, council rates, motor registries, tolls, parking stations and meters, fares on public transport, fines and court related costs) and excludes any transaction that you are not permitted to make under your Account Terms and Conditions.

  • Is there a service fee to use Pay with Points?

    No. There is no fee to use Pay with Points as it is a part of the Citi Rewards Program.

  • Who is eligible to use Pay with Points?

    The Pay with Points feature is available to Citi customers who are enrolled in the Citi Rewards Program.

    Please note: Citi customers who are enrolled in the Citi Qantas Rewards Program and Emirates Skywards Miles Program will not be eligible for Pay with Points.

  • Can I use Pay with Points for a purchase if I don't have enough Points to cover the entire purchase?

    No. To use Pay with Points, you must have enough reward Points to cover the entire purchase amount. The number of reward Points required to redeem for each purchase will be displayed.

  • What happens if I redeemed my reward Points for a statement credit using Pay with Points and then returned the purchase to the merchant?

    Your statement credit will not be affected if you decided to return the purchase after redeeming a statement credit for the purchase. This means that you will still receive the statement credit.

  • Where can I view my statement credit for a Pay with Points redemption?

    A credit with your redemption information will appear on your next statement.

    This information can be found once logged in to Citibank Online, it will be recorded on your next monthly credit card statement and on the Rewards website under 'My Order History'.

  • How long will it take to receive my Pay with Points statement credit?

    You will receive your statement credit within two business days.

  • Is there a limit on the amount of Pay with Points statement credits I can receive?

    Yes, there is a maximum selection of 5 purchases at any one time.

  • Can I cancel my Pay with Points redemption?

    No. Pay with Points redemption cannot be cancelled or reversed. Once your points are transferred, the Points may not be transferred back.

  • Do I still have to make the required minimum payment and/or overdue amount on my credit card account if I receive Pay with Points statement credits?

    Yes, the required minimum payment and/or overdue amount reflected on your credit card statement must be paid in accordance with your credit card agreement. Your payment obligations will not change.

  • Do I still have to make the full payment on my credit card account if I receive Pay with Points statement credits amounting to my current month’s outstanding amount payable?

    Yes, the full payment amount reflected on your credit card statement must be paid in accordance with your credit card agreement.

  • How will the Pay with Points statement credit appear on my credit card statement?

    Every successful Pay with Points redemption that has been processed will appear on your next statement with the description of ’Redeemed with Points’.

  • If I make a purchase, how long do I have to redeem for a Pay with Points statement credit?

    You have up to 60 days from the purchase date.
