How do I decrease my credit limit?

You are able to request a decrease on your credit limit through:

  1. Citi Online (available from 27 December 2018):
    To request your credit limit decrease through Citi Online, simply sign on to your account. Under Services, select Card Services Manage My Accounts Credit Limit Decrease and follow the prompts. If you have not used Citi Online before, you will need to register first.

    It is important to note that your credit limit can't be lower than your product minimum and should you wish to reinstate your previous credit limit after it is decreased, your application to increase your credit limit will be subject to our lending criteria at that time.

Increase your credit limit

How do I increase my credit limit?

After owning your Citi Credit Card for 6 months, you can request an increase in your credit limit. An increase in your credit limit will be approved subject to our credit criteria. Please allow 11 working days for us to assess your application.

How to apply:
Call us on 13 24 84 and select Option 1 (For Service-related enquiries).

Please note that:

  • A minimum of 6 months from account opening date and your last requested increase is required before an increase will be considered
  • Currently, the maximum increase at any one time is 50% of the existing limit
  • Credit Limits cannot be increased by more than the product maximum (i.e. The Citi Rewards Card is $100,000).
