Find out how to transfer money to someone in Australia
How to transfer money to a local bank via Citi Mobile® App or Citi Online
If you have a personal loan or a Ready Credit account with us, you can transfer money from your account to local Australian bank accounts.
Citi Mobile® App
- Log in to the Citi Mobile® App
- Tap on 'Payments' from the bottom menu
- Tap 'Pay someone'
- Select 'New Payee'
- Tap on 'Bank / BSB code' drop down
- Select the payee bank
- Add the payee name and account number
- Make sure the payee details are correct and tap 'Acknowledge'
- Enter the payment amount you want to transfer and the account you want to transfer from
- Make sure 'Save to payees list' option is ticked on the confirmation screen and tap 'Send'
- You will be asked to enter your 4 digit Unlock Code for a first-time payment to a new payee
- 'Transfer sent' screen will appear
- The payee will be added to your existing payee list
Citi Online
- Sign on to Citi Online
- Select 'Payments and Transfers' from the top navigation
- Enter the One-Time PIN when prompted. The One-Time PIN will be sent to your registered phone number.
- Select 'Make a Payment or Transfer' from the menu on the left
- Select 'Add a Payee'
- Select 'Local Bank Account' from the Payee type drop down list
- Add new payee details
- Check the details are correct and click 'Acknowledge'
- Click 'Confirm' to set up new payee
- Select 'Make a Payment or Transfer' from the menu on the left
- Select the account you want to make the payment from and the account you want to transfer to
- Enter the payment details and click 'Next'
- Review the payment details to make sure they're correct then click 'Make this payment'
